About the Role

The Weekend Operations Supervisor will be responsible for supervising assigned team members to achieve objectives in production, quality, and safety in the Distribution Center (DC). Provides work direction and timely information to both the team members and leadership to help ensure overall operational success.

Schedule: Friday - Sunday from 6:00am - 6:30pm

You'll Make a Difference By

  • Ensuring the DC's operational goals are achieved by coordinating with other departments and leadership as necessary, establishing schedules and plans to meet objectives, monitoring operations throughout the shift, and reassigning resources or making changes as needed. Resolving production and communication issues promptly by collaborating with other leaders.

  • Identifying and promptly resolving production and communications issues which may impact operational success, working collaboratively with other leaders.

  • Assuring team members are working safely by identifying and addressing behaviors or conditions that may increase safety risks, partnering closely with Loss Prevention.

  • Providing training and guidance to encourage the development of capable, contributing team members while setting a workplace tone that fosters engagement and retention.

  • Assuring that team members comply with corporate, DC and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Setting an appropriate tone in the workplace to build team member engagement and retention.

  • Ensuring compliance with corporate, DC, and departmental policies and procedures, addressing performance, attendance, and conduct issues through ongoing coaching, documentation, and corrective action in partnership with HR.

  • Coaching and motivating team members to improve individual performance, documenting progress appropriately, and delivering regular performance appraisals and feedback to support success.

  • Participating in special projects and performing other related duties as assigned.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

About You

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Any other related training/education is a plus

  • Demonstrates computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and WMS applications

  • MHE certification, electric pallet jack, Reach Truck and other

  • Previous supervisory or lead experience in a comparable operational

  • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations in a distribution environment preferred

Other

  • Demonstrated ability to assess performance levels and analyze productivity and quality results in order to make improvements or take proper corrective action

  • Employs logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and makes effective decisions or recommendations as a result

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a professional manner, maintain confidentiality and sustain a respectful workplace

  • Manages time effectively, achieving a balance of "on the floor" presence and office time

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to provide the supervision necessary as business needs change

Physical Requirements

  • Regular standing/walking, both in the office area and within the warehouse

  • Occasional sitting when working in an office environment

  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling and twisting

  • Occasional lifting/carrying of items (e.g., boxes of freight) of varying weight

  • Occasional operation of powered equipment

  • Repetitive motion and movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers

Work Environment

  • This position is based in the warehouse with regular exposure to extreme temperatures dependent on external climate and proximity to dock doors/exits. Occasional time is spent in a climate-controlled office/meeting room setting.

  • Regular exposure to moderate noise level from DC conveyor/sortation system and powered industrial equipment when in the warehouse
