Company Overview

Pawsitive Dawg Walking and Pet Sitting is a Waltham, Massachusetts-based pet care company focused on force-free, fear-free care for dogs and cats. We provide individualized pet care and dependable service that helps pets stay safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their home environment. Established in 2012, the company is committed to compassionate care, professionalism, and building trust with pet owners.

The Opportunity

This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys working with both cats and dogs and wants steady weekend work that makes a visible difference for pets and their owners. You will be trusted to provide reliable, thoughtful care during key weekend and evening hours when clients need consistency most. For the right person, this is more than a shift-based role. It is a chance to become a dependable part of a respected local pet care team and build meaningful hands-on experience.

What You'll Do

  • Provide in-home pet sitting visits for cats and dogs during weekend shifts.
  • Handle core pet care responsibilities such as dog walking, feeding, playtime, cleanup, litter box care, and general comfort and safety checks.
  • Follow assigned visit schedules that may include either a 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. shift, a 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. shift, or split-shift coverage with a midday break.
  • Build trust with clients by showing up on time, caring for pets attentively, and communicating clearly about each visit.
  • Support weekend coverage needs on both Saturday and Sunday, or, if weekend availability is limited to one day, maintain evening availability for two weekdays between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
  • Deliver calm, individualized care to both cats and dogs while representing the company professionally in clients' homes.

What Success Looks Like

  • Within the first few weeks, you can complete assigned pet sitting visits on time and with minimal oversight.
  • Pets in your care are safe, comfortable, and well looked after during every visit.
  • Clients experience reliable coverage and feel confident that their pets are receiving attentive, compassionate care.
  • You manage weekend schedules effectively, including split-shift days when needed.
  • You become a dependable part of the scheduling rotation and a trusted team member for ongoing weekend and evening coverage.

  • Willingness to work either morning, afternoon, or split weekend shifts
