Residential Assistants will be expected to provide positive support, caring assistance, and responsible supervision. This position is expected to require a unique sensitivity on the part of the applicants to recognize and appropriately respond to clients who may have evidenced difficulties.
Job Duties
- Becoming familiar with the residents treatment goals
- Carrying out expected interventions
- Observation and documentation of success
- Identifying current or suggesting new therapeutic goals which may require attention by the treatment team
Job Requirements
- 3 years experience working with youth in a behavioral setting
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Mental Health, or a related field preferred
- Valid Drivers License

Youth Consultation Service Inc
Each day YCS provides services to thousands of New Jersey families who have children, birth – adulthood, with special needs. Some of the children at our group homes are separated from their loved ones and have been affected by trauma, others are affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities that adversely affect their behavior. Many families receive the intensive in-home and community support that enables their families to stay together.
