CNC Laser / Press Brake Operator --- Weekend ShiftWORK 3 DAYS. GET PAID FOR 5. FOUR DAYS OFF EVERY WEEK.Summary:This is a dedicated weekend shift -- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only. There is no weekday schedule available for this position. You work three 12-hour shifts and get paid for a full 40-hour week, with four consecutive days off, every week.Duties and Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC fiber laser and/or CNC press brakesRead blueprints, fabrication drawings, bend charts, and work ordersSelect tooling and machine parameters for each jobInspect first-piece and in-process parts against quality standardsMeasure parts with calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and angle gaugesTroubleshoot routine issues and adjust machines as neededRun support equipment, including cold sawsPerform routine machine maintenanceKeep your work area clean and organizedRequired Qualifications:WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORThis isn't an entry-level role --- we need someone who can step into production and run with minimal direction after training.Experience operating CNC laser and/or CNC press brakesMachine setup experienceAbility to read fabrication blueprintsStrong inspection and measuring skillsReliable attendance and commitment to the weekend scheduleAvailable to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday every week --- this schedule does not rotate to weekdaysStrength Level: 25-40 pounds ***anything over 40 pounds will need two people or lifting assist device***MPI is a precision metal fabrication shop in Columbus, NE serving agricultural, transportation, medical, commercial, and industrial customers.
