Reporting to the Speech Pathology Supervisor with line responsibility to department coordinators, the Weekend Per Diem Speech Pathologist provides evaluation and treatment to acute medically fragile inpatients. Must have experience in providing dysphagia care. Responsible to the patient and family or significant others for the quality of direct and indirect care delivered. Required to work minimum of one weekend per month- a minimum of 8 am-12 pm each day as well as one major holiday and one minor holiday per year.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Masters Degree in Speech Pathology required.

Experience Three or more years experience as a Speech Pathologist with acute care experience and expertise in dysphagia evaluation and treatment required.

Licensure and/or Certification Current licensure to practice speech therapy in Massachusetts required. CCC-SLP by the American Speech Hearing & Language Association required. BLS required within 4 months from hire.
