Pay: $18.00–$19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Additional Schedule: Occasional Saturdays as needed

Vervic is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Weigh Station Operators for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Huntsville, Alabama.

The Weigh Station Operator serves as a key point of contact for customers and plays an important role in keeping daily operations running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities


As a Weigh Station Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Serving as the primary customer service representative at the scale house.
  
  
• Operating computerized weighing equipment to accurately record vehicle weights and materials.
  
  
• Entering and maintaining accurate information within computerized systems.
  
  
• Greeting and assisting drivers and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  
  
• Processing payments and providing appropriate receipts and documentation.
  
  
• Balancing receipts and transactions at the end of each day.
  
  
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all required information is properly documented.
  
  
• Communicating with drivers, customers, supervisors, and other operational departments as needed.
  
  
• Performing routine checks to help ensure equipment and work areas remain safe and operational.
  
  
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  
  
• Following established safety procedures, policies, and operational guidelines.
  
  
• Assisting with additional duties as needed to support daily operations.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
  
  
• 1–3 years of customer service, cash-handling, transaction processing, or similar experience required; 5 years preferred.
  
  
• Comfortable working with computers, computerized systems, and data entry.
  
  
• Ability to accurately handle payments and balance daily transactions.
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  
  
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  
  
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
  
  
• Ability to problem-solve and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
