Summary:
Develops complex inventory equipment lists and conducts inventories for aircraft components and assemblies.
Weighs aircraft, determines center of gravity, and documents results for flight readiness.
Prepares Chapter 2 of the Weight and Balance Manual for aircraft documentation.
Balances flight control surfaces and calculates weight adjustments following repair or repaint.
Develops flight load planning and directs loading of variable load elements on aircraft.
Inspects aircraft to calculate effects of actual weight and location of variable load elements on gross weight and center of gravity.
Prepares flight manifests for pilot signatures and flight release.
Weighs and documents actual weights and centers of gravity of components and assemblies.
Resolves complex issues with equipment, components, and weighing systems.
Manages aircraft weighing data and flight manifesting data for operational records.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor 1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
Experience in aircraft weight and balance analysis and documentation.
Proficiency with M365 (Microsoft Office 365) for data management and reporting.
Basic mathematics skills for weight and center of gravity calculations.
Associates Degree level training or equivalent education.
Experience with flight load planning and manifest preparation.
Experience balancing flight control surfaces and adjusting weight requirements.
Ability to resolve complex issues with weighing equipment and systems.
Willingness to train outside of the Washington location as required.
Ability to work variable shifts based on business need.
