Job Duties

• Knock off weld spatter ("BBs") using a chisel.
• Grind and sand welds to achieve the required finish.
• Use wire brushes to clean and prepare weld areas.
• Inspect cleaned steel assemblies for remaining weld spatter and imperfections.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work safely with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions.
• Mechanical or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

What You Will Do

As a Weld Cleaner you will support daily manufacturing operations by assembling products, operating production equipment, inspecting finished goods, packaging materials, maintaining production standards, and following established work instructions. You will help keep production areas clean and organized, monitor product quality, meet production goals, and contribute to safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
