Must Have
- 5+ years of experience developing and qualifying WPS, PQR, and WPQ documentation
- Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and diagrams.
- Proficiency with welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS D1.1 / D1.2 /D1.3/ D1.6, B2.1/ASME Section IX).
- Strong working knowledge of welding processes: FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW.
- Working knowledge of NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT, VT) and weld inspection criteria ASNT TC-1-A
Nice To Have
- Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
- Experience in Industrial Manufacturing and Metal Fabrication
- Experience with on-site audit inspections
- knowledge with Lean Six Sigma
JOB DESCRIPTION
Travel up to 40% of the time will be required. Travel to Michigan and Colorado Springs 2-3 day.
Responsibilities:
- Design/assist in design of weld fixtures.
- Establish weld process parameters for equipment.
- Coordinate or assist in weld fixture validation and finished part gauge verification.
- Design, implement, and document control systems for various types of automated equipment.
- Conduct the electrical/hydraulic pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with the appropriate build and electrical teams.
- Ensure that equipment is designed and programmed to project and build specifications using standard engineering techniques and established processes.
Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree from 4-year College or university in related engineering field, or six years related experience and/or training in the welding automation field.
