RESPONSIBLITIES:

 

To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to: 

  • Sets up weld fixtures or assemblies assigned to production operators in accordance with MIOSHA standards and company procedures.
  • Starts machine to obtain first run workpiece and verifies dimensional tolerances.
  • Works with other departments (maintenance, quality, engineering etc.) on weld and machine quality and makes adjustments improve function of equipment and quality of weld.
  • Set up and program new jobs on initial run. Fills out proper paperwork and turns into supervisor. 
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures.
  • Setup and program new jobs during initial production runs; complete required paperwork and submit to supervision.
  • Assume a lead role in the absence of the coordinator and team lead, including entering production reports when necessary.
  • Instruct operators and other personnel in machine setup, operation, and proper work practices.
  • Assist in coordinating and prioritizing production activities to meet customer, plant, and management requirements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

This full-time role is a part of our Welding Department and reports to the Welding Department Manager.

Required experience:

Education and/or Experience:

  •        High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Must obtain Hilo license within 6 months of accepting the position
  • Must obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 3 months of accepting the position
  • Basic understanding of PLC-based control systems and industrial automation
