POSITION:Welder 1 or 2
DAY SHIFT: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm (OT as needed)
PAY RATE: $23.50 - $26.00+ per hour (Depending on experience) + Full Benefits Package
LOCATION: Mandan, ND
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. The Welder I is an entry-level welding position, with all work being completed with close supervision.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
Learn company policies and procedures
Work on basic manufacturing assignments that have set standards
Follow detailed instructions while observed closely by supervisor or lead
Problem solves simple and non-complex issues that need little judgement
Perform measurements within specified tolerances
Learn to read blueprints
Work well with others
Work safely and accurately
Prompt and dependable attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES
Perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds
Fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld
Perform measurements within specified tolerances
Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.
General knowledge of equipment and operations.
Basic understanding of Weld symbols
Understand and follow oral and written directions.
Read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
Accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
Perform work accurately and thoroughly.
Be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
Make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
Be dependable and trustworthy.
