Welder
Position: Welder Shift: First, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Starting Pay: $23/hr
Overview: We are looking for an experienced welder to join our team in a hands-on, industrial manufacturing environment. This is a first shift position with a focus on building large structural steel components. The ideal candidate will bring solid welding skills, blueprint reading ability, and a strong team-oriented attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding duties with a focus on structural steel and heavy plate fabrication
- Read and interpret blueprints and follow verbal/written instructions
- Work with overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials (experience preferred)
- Assist with fitting as needed (fitting experience is a plus)
- Use tape measures and basic math to ensure accuracy in builds
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols
Requirements:
- Welding experience required; experience with structural steel and heavy plates is preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Good math skills and ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Crane and forklift experience preferred
- Must be able to work in a hot, dirty manufacturing environment
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Must work well as part of a small team and be able to take direction
