General Expectations and Responsibilities
- Follow ADF safety procedures and practices.
- Proficiently read and interpret blueprints as needed.
- Proficient in reading welding symbols.
- Weld in the flat (1G), horizontal (2G), and vertical (3G) positions.
- Safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools.
- Proficient in the use and set up of oxyfuel and plasma cutters.
- Knowledge of heat distortion and prevention.
- Utilize Carbon Arc Cutting/Gouging processes to remove material.
- Understand types of welding discontinuities, prevention, and repair.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to operate on strict deadlines.
- Clean and properly store tools and equipment at the end of shift.
- Strong communication skills.
- Any other related duties and special projects as needed.
