The pay and benefits you'll get as Welder and Compactor Repair Technician

  • Starting salary of $30 per hour.
  • Hours: Monday -Friday (7am -3:30pm)

I. Job Summary

Under general supervision, performs preventive maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses and repairs compactors and containers.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
  • Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems as needed.
  • Utilizes computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
  • Estimates time and material costs on compactor and container repairs and requisitions new parts.
  • Performs all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
  • Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
  • Conducts safety checks on compactors and containers.
  • Completes required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
  • Assists senior technicians in the completion of project work.
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

III. Qualifications

A. Required Qualifications

  • 2 years previous experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Valid Driver''s License Upon Hire

Field: This job operates in both inside gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity.

This role is designated as safety sensitive and will require the successful candidate to strictly comply with all safety rules and protocols. As part of the ongoing employment requirements, the successful candidate may be subject to drug and alcohol testing-including pre‑employment screening, post‑incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing-in accordance with government regulations and company policies.

Pay : The expected base pay range for this on-site position is $30. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location
