We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and equipment through the use of welding techniques. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of safety procedures, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Pay scale is determined by experience but can start at $15/hour
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Set up welding equipment and select proper welding methods based on materials
Perform welding using MIG, TIG, Stick, or other techniques as required
Inspect welds for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet standards and specifications
Operate grinders and other tools to clean and finish welds
Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance
Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
Proven experience as a welder or similar role
Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials
Knowledge of welding safety standards and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Welding certification (e.g., AWS certification)
Experience with fabrication and metalworking tools
Forklift certification (a plus)
Working Conditions
Exposure to heat, fumes, and loud noise
Standing for long periods and performing physically demanding tasks
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
