SUMMARY: Fabricate and Weld structural metals with the proper materials to the correct dimensions, tolerances, and/or other specifications as defined on the work instructions. This process will include applying fabricating and welding skills to produce company’s products, working independently or with others as part of a team, and requires the ability to coordinate and communicate. A supervisor reviews work to ensure quality and accuracy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, PROFICIENCIES: REQUIRED: In addition to a required High School diploma or equivalent, the following skills or experience are required: prior fabrication experience such as crane operation, metal processing, material handling equipment experience, and various hand power tools. The candidate must also be able to read and understand standard units of measure add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide by 1Os and 100s without using a calculator. PREFERRED: MIG Welding, Oxy/Fuel Torch, plasma cutting torch experience with Carbon, Stainless Steel, and/or Aluminum; AWS certifications in D1.1, D1.5, D1.6, and/or D1.2; know Welding 101, weld symbols and how to use filet weld gauges; experience with complex fit up and fixturing; the ability to read, comprehend and interpret blueprint drawings and demonstrated (project) troubleshooting experience; demonstrate an aptitude for attention to detail; work effectively with other team members and possess written and verbal communication skills.
