Structural Welder

We are looking for a skilled Structural Steel Welder with at least 5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a professional who takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship and understands the safety demands of structural fabrication.
Key Responsibilities for a Welder
- Welding & Fabrication: Perform high-quality Arc (SMAW) and potentially Flux-Cored (FCAW) welding on structural steel components (beams, columns, trusses).
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and blueprints to plan layouts and assembly sequences.
- Fitting & Assembly: Align, square, and tack-weld parts together according to specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed welds for cracks, slag, or irregularities; ensure all work meets industry standards (e.g., AWS D1.1).
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain welding machines, torches, and tools in good working order.
Skills & Requirements for a Structural Steel Welder- Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience specifically in structural steel.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Arc Welding (Stick) in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).
- Safety Mindset: Strict adherence to PPE requirements and OSHA safety protocols.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in various weather conditions, and maintain focus during repetitive tasks.
- Certifications: Valid AWS or similar welding certifications are highly preferred.
