Position OverviewAs a Welder/Fabricator, you will fabricate, weld, fit, and assemble metal components used in industrial equipment and manufacturing systems. You will work from engineering drawings and fabrication blueprints to produce precision-built assemblies while maintaining strict quality and safety standards throughout the manufacturing process.
This role requires both fabrication expertise and mechanical aptitude, making it ideal for individuals who enjoy building custom equipment rather than repetitive production welding.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MIG and TIG welding on structural steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, and fabricated components.
- Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal components according to engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
- Read and accurately interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and technical schematics.
- Operate fabrication equipment including plasma cutters, press brakes, grinders, drill presses, saws, and various hand and power tools.
- Measure, mark, cut, shape, and prepare materials while maintaining tight dimensional tolerances.
- Perform layout work and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments including calipers, tape measures, squares, and other inspection tools.
- Manufacture structural frames, machine guards, brackets, supports, platforms, and custom metal assemblies.
- Perform pipe cutting, pipe threading, fitting, and mechanical assembly as required.
- Assist with rigging and material handling activities during fabrication and assembly processes.
- Inspect finished welds and fabricated assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and engineering specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, production, machining, and assembly teams to meet manufacturing schedules and project deadlines.
- Identify fabrication challenges and recommend practical solutions to improve efficiency and product quality.
Required Qualifications- Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator, Metal Fabricator, or Industrial Fabrication Technician within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with both MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding processes.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication blueprints, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and technical documentation.

- Strong understanding of metal fabrication techniques and welding best practices.

- Knowledge of safe fabrication practices and manufacturing safety procedures.
- Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work in an active manufacturing environment.
