Our client is seeking a Welder to join their team in their job shop environment. Our client is a premier metal fabrication and precision machining company specializing in sheet metal fabrication, precision machining, copper fabrication, and electromechanical assembly.
In this role, you will be responsible for completing MIG and TIG welds on a variety of metals, including steel and aluminum.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and TIG welds
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine project requirements
- Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform welding on various materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
- Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met
- Measure, cut, and align components using hand tools and machinery
- Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring proper functionality and safety compliance
Required:
- TIG AND MIG welding experience; Minimum of 5-7 years in relatable industry OTJ
- Proven proficiency and demonstrated skill in both TIG + MIG welding with a variety of metals; particularly stainless steel down to 20 ga. (Average ga is 14-16.) and some aluminum
- Formal Welding School training
- Experience with Modular Fixturing - 1 yr. minimum
- Proven ability to read and interpret drawings and weld symbols
- Willing and able to grind and polish, stud and spot weld as requiredS
