Position will be located in Colville, WA and will support operations for two manufacturing facilities.

 

The company is seeking a hard-working individual to work in the production department. This position is full-time, non-exempt, $17.66/hr - $31.13/hr. Compensation includes medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k) plan with employer matching contribution, life insurance, employee assistance program, and training opportunities. Regular shifts are Monday – Friday with overtime as needed. Day shift hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and swing shift hours are 2:15 pm to 10:45 pm.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Welding materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and galvanized steel using GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) processes. Materials required to be welded consist of pipe, tubing, sheet metal, plate, and other common shapes.
  • Welding assemblies and subassemblies for heat exchangers using the above processes.
  • Following specifications such as blueprints, design drawings, bill of materials, Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), and planning sequence of operations.
  • Setting up GTAW, and GMAW welding equipment (gases, polarities, filler materials, amperage, etc.).
  • Welding components in all positions (flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead) using GTAW and GMAW processes.
  • Controlling welding processes to minimize overheating, warping, shrinking, and distortion.
  • Ensuring welds meet all standards and specifications required.
  • Using tape measure, hand tools, power tools, tri square, torpedo level, band saw, grinders, belt sanders, and drills in order to carry out fitting and welding operations.
  • Completing training to acquire ASME Section IX qualifications as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Prior welding experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Ability to work repetitiously for a prolonged period.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
  • Focus on accuracy, quality, safety, timeliness, and continuous improvement.
