Work with mild steel materials ranging from 20-gauge sheet to 1-inch thickness, and handle stainless steel as required.

Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently within designated welding bays in a production setting.

Assist with related fabrication processes, which may include operating a press brake, working on the paint line, supporting powder coating operations, and performing assembly tasks as needed.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all shop safety procedures and guidelines.

Collaborate with team members and support production goals by being flexible and willing to perform tasks outside core welding duties when required.

Demonstrate reliable attendance by following established call-out procedures and communicating schedule needs in advance.

Take pride in workmanship by consistently producing high-quality welds and proactively addressing any defects or issues.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to clarify requirements, provide status updates, and support continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

Ability to perform multiple weld types such as plate-to-plate, block-to-plate, butt joints, stitch welding, pipe welding, and square block welding.

Experience working with mild steel materials from 20-gauge sheet to 1-inch thickness.

Ability to produce clean, high-quality welds and maintain consistent workmanship standards.

Flexibility and openness to perform tasks outside primary welding responsibilities, such as press brake, paint line, powder coating, and assembly work.

Ability to work independently and stay productive with minimal supervision.

Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and adherence to established attendance and call-out procedures.

Growth mindset, including willingness to learn, improve, and take on additional responsibilities over time.

Effective communication skills to interact with teammates and leadership.

 Certification in welding is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Welding certification or formal welding training is preferred and considered an advantage.

Experience working with stainless steel materials is beneficial.

Demonstrated ability to take pride in workmanship and attention to detail in weld quality and appearance.

Capability to support leadership or supervisory responsibilities over time, based on communication skills, work ethic, and welding performance.

Comfort working in a production fabrication shop with multiple processes such as welding, paint, press brake, and assembly.

Openness to occasional schedule flexibility, including coming in early, staying late, or working on Saturdays when business needs require.
