This role focuses on welding metal components using a variety of welding techniques and equipment to fabricate and repair products and components in a manufacturing environment. You set up welding machines, select proper electrodes, and handle or position work pieces with or without fixtures while following established welding procedures and quality standards. You contribute to production goals by producing structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing welds and by actively participating in training and continuous improvement activities.
ResponsibilitiesYou join a stable manufacturing environment that values certified trade professionals and rewards performance. The organization offers a sign-on bonus at two early milestones, recognizing your contribution soon after you start, and an annual cash incentive plan tied to overall performance. You benefit from structured training programs that support your professional growth and help you maintain and expand your certifications. Clear production expectations, defined shifts, and overtime opportunities provide a predictable schedule with the potential for additional earnings, all within a culture that values quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Work EnvironmentYou work in a manufacturing environment focused on hydraulic actuators, performing all welding indoors in flat positions. The welding is manual and requires both structural integrity and a high-quality aesthetic finish. All welding is performed on steel using MIG (GMAW) and related processes such as SMAW and FCAW, with WABO-certified practices and adherence to specific plate, position, and filler metal requirements. The facility operates multiple shifts: a day shift (Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with Friday available for overtime), a swing shift (Monday–Friday, 4:00 p.m.–2:30 a.m., with Saturday available for overtime), and a weekend shift (Friday–Sunday, 4:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.). The environment is production-focused, and welders are expected to meet established output standards without extended ramp-up time. Appropriate industrial work attire and personal protective equipment are required to ensure safety and compliance with shop standards.
