Job Description
Our client, a global supplier and manufacturer of construction equipment and tools, is seeking an experienced
Welder/Fabricator to join their team in Harrison, OH.
1st Shift- 6:00am to 3pm
Pay rate- $25+ per hour
This is a contract to hire position.
SUMMARY- Seeking a self-starter that displays a strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Responsible for welding, fabricating, and repairing components from drawings, blueprints, and sample parts.
- Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with team members and internal/external customers.
- Complies with all company policies/procedures and safety guidelines.
- Ensure work areas are organized efficiently while maintaining security/safety measures.
- Uphold productivity, quality, and safety standards.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Necessary overtime as workload dictates.
Minimum Qualifications:- Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ welding and fabrication experience.
- Must be highly proficient and able to pass AWS D1.1 and D1.5 certifications in: FCAW (3G & 4G CERTS), GMAW (1G, including spray transfer on heavy steel) and SMAW (3G & 4G CERTS) processes.
- Skills in brake, shear, grinders, and fabrication equipment.
- Shop environment utilizing SMAW, GMAW and FCAW processes.
- Heavy fabrication and repair experience is preferred.
- Capable of working at a fast pace.
- Self-motivated, self-reliant, able to work with little direction.
- Reliable/dependable (prompt, with good attendance)
- Capable of multi-tasking and able to change direction or focus as priorities dictate.
Certifications, Licenses, Registration: Able to pass AWS D1.1 and D1.5 certifications in: FCAW (3G & 4G CERTS), GMAW (1G, including spray transfer on heavy steel) and SMAW (3G & 4G CERTS) processes.
Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED.
Travel/Other Requirements:Availability as requested/required for after-hour emergency calls, necessary overtime as the workload dictates.
