As a Welder Fabricator, youll be a vital hand on our shop floor. Youll spend your days on your feet working alongside a solid crew, laying down clean, structurally sound beads and fitting up custom stairs, handrails, and landings. Youll work closely with the shop foreman to push out high-quality work, hit production targets, and keep the shop running safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do
As a Welder Fabricator, you will be responsible for:
- Fabricating structural stairs, handrails, and landings directly from detailed shop drawings.
- Creating miscellaneous steel and custom metal items as required by production schedules.
- Grinding down welds, sanding, and deburring finished products to meet quality standards.
- Moving raw materials into designated staging areas for fabrication use.
- Maintaining tools and keeping a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Assisting alternative shop departments and contributing to general cleanup duties to support the team.
What Youll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- MIG EXPERIENCE
- 2 to 4 years of related welding experience experience.
- Ability to read welding symbols.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong concentration skills, and a cooperative, team-first attitude.
- Adaptability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting production priorities.
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, twist, and lift 50 lbs or more consistently in a non-climate-controlled shop environment (hot/cold weather conditions).
