Job Full Description

Express Employment Professionals of Buffalo and Niagara are recruiting for a Welder/Fabricator for a manufacturer of above ground steel tanks and accessories in Buffalo, NY!

Shift: Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm

Payrate: $22-25/hr BOE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform all duties in accordance with current safety standards
  • Must be able to operate overhead cranes, and hoists using chain and fabric slings to secure and lift heavy loads.
  • Must be able to operate electric and manual pallet truck, forklift, and farm tractor.
  • Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding.
  • Operate grinders, saws, brake, ironworker, and drill press.
  • Layout, position, roll, align, and fit components together.
  • Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Set up equipment and weld parts, using Fluxcore welding
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, technical sketches, and specifications
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks as necessary
  • Perform periodic maintenance on departmental equipment
  • Other duties as assigned and requested.
Education and Experience:
  • Certificate from welding trade school
  • Two years of related experience using welding/fabricating skills
  • Basic math skills
