Key Responsibilities:
* Perform MIG welding on mild steel components for equipment fabrication and repair
* Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
* Measure, cut, and prepare steel materials for fabrication
* Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
* Monitor welding process to ensure proper penetration, alignment, and minimize distortion
* Inspect and test welds to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
* Adjust welding techniques based on material behavior and inspection results
* Assist with assembly and reassembly of pump equipment and components
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Required Skills & Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years of MIG welding experience
* Experience performing basic fabrication tasks, including measuring and cutting steel
* Ability to read a tape measure accurately
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
* Must possess a basic set of hand tools
* Must have a valid driver"s license
* Must have a personal welding hood (company provides welding equipment and gloves)
* High school diploma or GED required
Preferred Skills & Experience:
* Experience using fabrication tools such as grinders, cutting equipment, and layout tools
* Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with equipment assembly
* Experience working in manufacturing or equipment repair environments
