Welder / Fabricator
Elwood Staffing has an immediate opening for a welder / fabricator at a local metal manufacturing facility.

Welder / Fabricator Details:
- Temp-to-Hire position
- $ 24.00 to $ 29.00 / hour
- Full Time work available
- First Shift (Monday through Friday)
- Complete manufactured parts, weldments and assemblies, including component layout, welding and finishing
- Prepare parts for Powder Coating
- Manage and organize personal work station along with welding dept.
Welder / Fabricator Qualifications:
- Strong blueprint reading ability
- Ability to read tape measure and utilize calipers
- Familiar with sheet metal and machined parts
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Welding skills include: Mig welding (GMAW) on Mild Steel, Stainless and Aluminum Tig welding (GTAW) on Mild Steel, Stainless and Aluminum
- Ability to weld more exotic materials a plus
- Understanding how and when to purge weld
- Ability to utilize hand grinder, angle sanders and DA sanders to create a high quality end product
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
