Compensation & Shift Details:
- Hourly Rate: $19.50-$21.50, commensurate with experience
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm (flexible options available)
About the Role:
As a Welder/Fabricator at our facility, you will play a vital role in constructing high-quality metal products that meet precise customer specifications. This position offers an engaging environment for talented tradespeople eager to advance their skills and build a meaningful career in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up and operate a variety of fabricating machines, including drill presses, rollers, welders, plasma cutters, grinders, torches, and band saws.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints and technical diagrams to guide your work.
- Precisely position, align, fit, and weld components in accordance with layout and blueprint specifications.
- Design, fabricate, and utilize templates and fixtures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Measure and verify work with precision using tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, squares, and protractors to ensure quality compliance.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum with proficiency.
- Handle materials manually or with hoists/cranes safely and efficiently.
- Maintain rigorous quality control standards by verifying dimensions and product specifications.
- Complete any required training and certification for hi-lo forklift operation to support safe handling of materials.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, maintain a clean workspace, and promote a culture of safety.
Qualifications & Skills:- Proven proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques, with solid experience in welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
- Excellent math skills, with experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and similar measurement tools.
- Keen attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communicator capable of working collaboratively or independently.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meeting daily production goals with a sense of urgency.
- Experience with press brake operation is a plus.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in welding and fabrication.
- Must be able to stand for entire shifts, with frequent bending and twisting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Valid driver's license and possibly a hi-lo certification (training available).
- Flexibility to perform additional tasks outside of core responsibilities as needed.
