Job Title: Welder / Fabricator
Location: Oakland
Pay: $30-$32 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: 50-60 hours per week | Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Oakland, CA. This role involves setting up welding equipment, interpreting blueprints, and performing a variety of fabrication tasks including welding, cutting, grinding, and finishing.
The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality work, maintaining safety standards, and contributing to a productive shop environment.
Requirements
- Up-to-date welding certifications (up to 4G)
- OSHA 10 certification or higher (required)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Valid driver's license
Key Responsibilities- Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Set up and operate welding and fabrication equipment
- Perform cutting, grinding, and finishing work
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and accuracy
- Install and repair equipment and structural components
- Calculate and verify material measurements
- Operate shop equipment such as forklifts (as needed)
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills- 2-3 years of experience in welding and fabrication
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, tools, and procedures
- Ability to read shop drawings and follow instructions
- Experience welding aluminum (1+ year preferred)
- Physically capable of lifting, standing, and working in a shop environment
