Location: Pineville, LA

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM | Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM | Some Saturdays Required

Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, and various industry parts by performing the following duties.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Vocational training, welding certification, or technical education is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• 3-5 years of welding and fitting experience
• Experience working with aluminum, stainless steel, iron, or other alloys preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Strong understanding of welding symbols and fabrication processes
• Must pass a welding test and written fabrication exam

Job Duties

• Read work orders, blueprints, and engineering drawings
• Plan welding procedures, materials, and tooling requirements
• Prepare, clean, and position materials for welding
• Fit, align, and assemble fabricated, cast, and forged components
• Perform cutting, burning, and welding operations on various metals
• Measure and inspect workpieces to ensure specifications are met
• Use rulers, squares, measuring tapes, and other precision tools
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all quality and safety standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, structural welding, or production environments is preferred.
• Experience using grinders, saws, cutting equipment, and metal fabrication tools is beneficial.
• Knowledge of weld inspection, blueprint interpretation, and quality control procedures is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate craftsmanship, dependability, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Welder.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in welding positions throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift metal components, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely wear welding helmets, gloves, and required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to safely work around welding equipment, sparks, heat, and fabrication machinery while following established safety procedures.

What You Will Do

As a Welder you will prepare materials, set up welding equipment, perform MIG welding operations, inspect completed welds, read blueprints, verify measurements, and help fabricate metal components according to engineering specifications. You will maintain welding equipment, follow quality standards, and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations while producing consistent, high-quality work.
