We are looking for talented and dedicated professionals to join our shop as a Welder/Fabricator. We have both first and second shifts available.First Shift: Mon - Fri 7am - 3:30pm.Second shift: Mon – Thu 3pm – 1:30am. Job Summary:Learn and apply various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core.Study and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications.Understand and follow welding symbols and instructions.Assist in setting up welding equipment and materials.Perform basic welding tasks under the guidance of a journeyman welder.Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding.Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.Inspect welds for defects and ensure adherence to specifications.Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Maintain a clean and organized work area.Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.Assist in assembling and disassembling metal structures.Transport materials and equipment as needed.Participate in team meetings and training sessions.Must document time spent welding on specific jobs by entering time using the correct job code and cost code.Manages production time in an efficient and economical manner.Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required.Enrollment in or completion of a welding training program is preferred.Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. May have no experience plus an associate's degree, additional training, or certification(s).Basic knowledge of welding techniques and tools.Complete and pass a 3G limited weld test.Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.Good communication and teamwork skills.Must have basic math skills.Must be capable and competent operating forklift trucks and overhead cranes.Must obtain CPR/First Aid and MSHA training certifications.
