Welder/Fabricator – Setup & Plating Department

Location: Temperance, MI
Pay: $17.00 - $26.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview

We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our Setup & Plating Department. This position is ideal for candidates with experience as an Oil Change Technician, Automotive Technician, Auto Body Technician, Maintenance Technician, or anyone who enjoys hands-on work and working with tools.

While welding and fabrication experience is a plus, we are willing to train candidates who possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Clean mandrels by hand to prepare them for production and plating processes
• Apply wax and sculpt molds according to specifications
• Paint parts, tooling, and molds as needed
• Monitor and maintain proper chemical balances within plating tanks
• Perform light fabrication and assembly work
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Inspect parts and tooling for quality and accuracy
• Assist with setup activities throughout the department
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures

QualificationsRequirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Ability to learn plating and chemical process procedures
• Good attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Welding and/or fabrication experience
• Automotive repair experience
• Blueprint reading experience
• Manufacturing experience
• Forklift experience
