Welder/Fabricator - Testing Department Description Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of golf cars, utility and personal transportation vehicles, professional turf-care equipment, and ground support equipment. Responsibilities: + Determine the proper and efficient approach to fabricate a requested part or assembly. + Ensure adherence to safety protocols and participate in continuous improvement projects for 5S and safety. + Operate and maintain MIG/TIG welding equipment for carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum welding. + Communicate with work order requestors (engineers/managers) to define goals and ensure alignment on objectives and functionality of prototypes. + Ensures quality of work prior to completing work order action closures. + Assist in training team and engineering department members utilizing existing SOP's (Standard operating procedures) and assist in creating new procedures as required. + Perform routine and preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment as required. + Operate or learn to operate shop equipment including bandsaws, lathe, mill, drill press, shear with growth opportunity to operate advanced equipment such as CNC. Qualifications Qualifications: + Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred. + Years of Experience: 4 of more years of experience required; welding certification preferred. + Software Knowledge: Proficient in reading engineering drawings; Microsoft Office application skills preferred. Additional Requirements: + Valid driver's license + experience with fabrication techniques and hand tools required.
