As a Fabricator, you will work as part of the Fabrication team to manufacture product to meet or exceed customer expectations in a timely manner while maintaining the highest levels of quality. Role and Responsibilities
Follow production drawings to weld and fabricate product, including holding geometric & dimensional tolerances
Perform welds per specifications on thin gauge stainless steels
Prepare, weld, and polish food grade stainless steels
Perform basic set up and maintenance on weld machines
ASME weld certification – per Omega standards
Follow standard ASME guidelines based on Section VIII of the Boiler & Pressure Vessel code
Must work as a team and contribute to each other’s success. This includes collaborating and working together, across all departments, on identifying and resolving issues together to accomplish assigned tasks
Manufacture product per Omega specifications to include following direction of job packet, gather and organize materials for jobs as noted in the packet and inform the office of any missing materials as soon as possible. Make note of, and question the design team on anything that is seemingly wrong, to ensure quality in production
Responsible for creative ability to complete assigned task independently while maintaining company objectives and goals
Identify and process various material grades and finishes · Material handling / Inflation
Follow production drawings, routings
Follow standard ASME guidelines based on Section VIII of the Boiler & Pressure Vessel code
Perform product inflation and leak testing
Operate an overhead crane, forklift and perform manual lifting · Ensures work areas are clean and orderly
Complies with all safety rules and regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2+ years experience in welding/fabricating stainless steel
Experience with ASME certifications preferred
Advanced blue print reading
Ability to read a variety of measuring devices including: tape measures, micrometers, depth gauge, etc.
Exceptional attendance and punctuality
Ability to work with and communicate well with others
Ability to work off shift and overtime as necessary
Preferred Skills
Forklift and overhead crane use
Exposure to ASME guidelines
Familiarity with different types of stainless steel
