As a MIG Welder, you'll play a hands-on role in creating high-quality steel components and assemblies. You'll work closely with a dedicated team to ensure each project meets safety and quality standards, contributing to the production of critical industrial equipment.
What Youll Do
As a Welder Fabricator, you will be responsible for:
- Performing MIG welding on steel components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
- Fitting, aligning, and preparing materials for welding
- Operating shop equipment such as grinders, torches, and cutting tools
- Inspecting welds to ensure quality and structural integrity
- Monitoring welding processes to prevent defects and maintain consistency
- Assisting with material handling using overhead cranes or forklifts
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Following all safety protocols and production standards
What Youll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- 2+ years of welding experience required
- Strong MIG welding skills, especially on steel
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld specifications
- Experience working with heavy metal components
- Familiarity with fabrication tools and shop equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stay active throughout the shift
- Overhead crane or forklift experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
