What Youll Do
As a Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for:
- Performing MIG welding on steel components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Fitting, aligning, and preparing parts and materials for welding and assembly.
- Operating shop equipment such as grinders, torches, and cutting tools with safety and precision.
- Inspecting welds for quality, strength, and adherence to specifications.
- Monitoring welding processes to prevent defects and maintain consistency.
- Assisting with material handling using overhead cranes or forklifts.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following all safety protocols and standards.
What Youll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- 2+ years of MIG welding experience, particularly on steel.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical specifications.
- Experience working with large, heavy metal components.
- Familiarity with fabrication tools and shop equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout your shift.
- Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and dedication to producing high-quality work.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
