Our client in Fairdale, KY is actively looking for a Welder to join their team.
Position Description:
Position: Production Welder (Polish)
Job Summary:
The Production Welder is responsible for welding and assembling parts and components according to work orders, blueprints, and specifications, ensuring high-quality output and compliance with safety standards. The welder must work efficiently across multiple benches, maintain equipment, and contribute to overall production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Weld and assemble parts and components using MIG welding equipment, jigs, fixtures, grinders, and measuring tools.
- Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to complete tasks with minimal guidance.
- Set up machines for various materials and thicknesses.
- Ensure production targets (minimum and maximum output quantities) are met.
- Perform regular maintenance and lubrication of equipment.
- Test and inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Transition efficiently between benches 2 and 4 as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Welding certification is mandatory.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and using measuring tools.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
- Comply with OSHA regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Use required PPE and equipment properly.
- Report hazards, risks, or unsafe practices immediately to a supervisor.
- Never disable protective devices without providing a safe alternative; restore devices immediately after work.
- Operate equipment safely and responsibly.
- Understand and implement safe work practices and procedures.
- Attend and apply knowledge from all mandatory Health and Safety training programs (e.g., WHMIS, orientation).
Education:
- Minimum Grade 12 education
