Welder - FASS-MW

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is looking for experienced MIG Welders to join our fabrication shop. In this role you will work both independently and on a team with minimal supervision. Total Rewards: Life Insurance Tuition Reimbursement Paid Holidays PTO Weekly Pay Medical, Dental, Vision, Hospital, Accident, Specified Disease, and Pet Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Onsite Health Clinic Apprenticeship Program Schedule: 1st Shift , 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary Responsibilities: Weld structural steel members using MIG (gmaw) wirefeed processes Weld in 3G and 4G positions according to safety-oriented procedures Read welding symbols and understand testing requirements Follow proper safety instructions Work in a team environment Perform other duties as needed by supervision Education Requirements: Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or related experience as a certified structural steel welder as determined by the plant manager Job Requirements/Special Skills: Specific Structural Welding Skills: Ability to pass a 3G and 4G weld test using GMAW process on 3/8" material Good verbal communication skills with other employees Positive attitude Open minded with a vision for continuous improvement Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements Ability to read blueprints Specific Physical Skills: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders throughout the shift Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels Ability to work from heights utilizing ladders and lifts EAS is the leading HVAC Volumetric Modular Manufacturer and the # 1 Mechanical Contractor in the Southeastern United States.
