Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fitter to join our team in Bardstown, KY. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about welding and fabrication, and who thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment. If you're interested in a weekend shift (Friday/Saturday/Sunday), we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
Perform welding and fitting tasks using various techniques, including MIG and stick welding.
Assemble and fabricate metal components to create structures and equipment.
Inspect and test welded joints to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding preferred.
Proven experience as a welder, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of welding techniques and materials.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Familiarity with safety standards and practices in welding and fabrication.
