We are seeking an experienced and dependable Welder to perform a variety of welding, fabrication, brazing, and cutting operations using gas and electric welding equipment. The Welder will work from blueprints, work orders, and instructions to fabricate, repair, and assemble metal components while maintaining high standards for quality, precision, and workplace safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Review work orders, blueprints, drawings, and instructions to determine job requirements, materials, tools, and appropriate welding procedures.
Perform MIG and Stick welding, brazing, cutting, burning, and other metal fabrication processes.
Fabricate and repair equipment by cutting, fitting, assembling, and welding various types of metal.
Clean and prepare metal surfaces prior to welding to ensure proper weld quality.
Set up, position, assemble, tack, and weld components according to specifications.
Build up and repair worn, damaged, or defective metal surfaces.
Operate burning and cutting equipment to dismantle assemblies and cut materials to the required size and shape.
Perform precision welding on small components and within tight tolerances while avoiding damage to surrounding materials.
Inspect completed work to ensure welds and fabricated components meet quality and dimensional requirements.
Follow established safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality problems to the appropriate supervisor.
Perform additional fabrication, welding, and production duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
1–3 years of welding, manufacturing, fabrication, or related industrial experience required.
Hands-on experience with MIG and Stick welding required.
Experience with brazing, gas cutting, and electric welding equipment preferred.
Completion of a formal welding apprenticeship, technical training program, or equivalent in-company training preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, drawings, instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Ability to select and properly use welding equipment, tools, and materials for assigned work.
Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical skills, and practical problem-solving abilities.
Ability to perform detailed welding work requiring accuracy and precision.
Strong attention to quality, safety, and workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
