Welder – 1st Shift
Location: Milwaukee
Pay Rate: $18/hour
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Welders. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to build hands-on welding skills and grow within a manufacturing environment.
Schedule
- Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Post-Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Training Program
Training will include:
- Weld safety and preparation
- Blueprint reading
- Materials and metals knowledge
- Equipment setup
- Virtual training modules
Responsibilities
- Weld I-beam frames and fuel tanks in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Work with sheet metal thickness ranging from 10 gauge up to ½ inch
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind, or bolt component parts to achieve required configurations and positions for welding
- Position and secure workpieces using hoists, cranes, wire and banding machines, or hand tools
- Inspect products and equipment for defects or malfunctions
- Follow safety procedures and quality standards throughout the welding process
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn and develop welding skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints (or willingness to learn)
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to work with hand tools, welding equipment, and lifting devices
- Manufacturing or welding experience is a plus, but not required
