Welder (GTAW,SMAW)

SUMMARY:
Shop welder needed to carry out a variety of applications utilizing heliarc on vessel and flange assembly and fabrication of most company products.

• Work with blueprints, diagrams, drawings, and written or verbal instruction performs the necessary heliarc and spot welding operations to complete assigned tasks.
  <\/li>
• Plan layout and perform a variety of heliarc and spot welding operations to ensure the most efficient use of time and materials.
  <\/li>
• Make most determination necessary for the performance of welding operations including the number of passes and the adjustment of welding machines needed to ensure that leak test and other customers/company specifications are achieved.
  <\/li>
• Plans the sequence of welding operations so that components are welded in proper order.
  <\/li>
• Selects pre -marked formed pieces available to fabricate welded assemblies to specifications, using aluminum and stainless steel.
  <\/li>
• Assembles a variety of products, clamps securely to the bench, and performs welding operations.
  <\/li>
• Carries out welding operations required to produce tight seams that will pass customer/company inspection.

• Ensures that various subsections are compatible with one another and meet all specifications.
  <\/li>
• Visually inspects parts and sub -assemblies for freedom from defects; suggests appropriate actions to correct defects.

• Maintains work area and equipment in a safe, clean, and orderly condition.
  <\/li>
• Prepares for increased responsibility by receiving training on more advanced welding techniques.

• Performs other related duties as directed.

  Requirements<\/h3>

  • 
    <\/ul>
    • Must have experience with TIG/Heliarc Welding<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Minimum 2 years min experience
      <\/li>
    • Must have basic tools
      <\/li>
    • Must have transportation
      <\/li>
    • Must pass a 4"XXH<\/b><\/u> welding test
      <\/li>
    • High School or GED
      <\/li>
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
      <\/li>
    • Pre -Employment Drug & Alcohol Screening is a standard requirement
