We are seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to perform fit-ups and pressure-containing welds on carbon steel pipe and fittings in a fast-paced production shop environment. Candidates must have strong welding experience and the ability to produce high-quality, code-compliant welds.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work orders, modification procedures, and weld procedures.
- Perform fit-ups, structural welds and pressure containing welds on carbon steel pipe and fittings
- Weld procedures including GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW
- Overtime and weekend work required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Welder qualification required as part of application process.
- Familiar with ASME code requirements a plus.
- Able to produce “x-ray quality” welds.
- Able to read and interpret Prints, WPS, Specifications, Work Instructions.
- Fabrication & Mechanical skills a plus.
- Ability to stand, crouch, bend for 8-10 hour shifts.
- Must be able lift up to 40 Lbs. on occasion.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Problem solving skills.
- Ability to work as a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
Education and Qualifications
- High School or GED required.
- Minimum 5+ years of welding/fabrication experience.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
