This position is responsible for fitting and welding steel to form cubicles and other miscellaneous parts to create enclosures for electrical switchgear. One year of welding experience is required for 3rd shift 8pm - 6:30am Sunday night – Thursday morning. Train on 1st shift for six months 8pm - 6:30am Sunday night – Thursday morning. A 4/10 shift OT is mandatory. All candidates must review video.
Position Overview: This position will be provided various parts from our fabrication team and will reference weldment and other prints (blueprints) to perform MIG welds to fit and finish various components of our large electrical sub-station buildings. You will complete large foundation structures, walls, cubicles, roof trusses, and other metal boxes/components as needed. Welders will spend time performing MIG welds and grinding all parts to high finish quality in preparation for powder coating. You will need to have a firm understanding of blueprint reading, tape measure skills, and MIG welding experience to perform high quality welds within small tolerances. This position will regularly work mandatory overtime.
