Job Description:
Work location: 11711 Arrow Route ,Rancho Cucamonga,CA,US
Shift: 2nd
Schedule: 1pm-9:30pm, M-F
Contract-to-hire opportunity
HM will do interviews and/or facility tours
Welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work instructions
Verifies conformance of work piece to job order requirements
Completes work orders as required
Welds components in flat or vertical positions
Ignites torches or starts power supplies and strikes arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded
Detects faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notifies supervisors
Clamps, holds, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolts component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
Operates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas, gas metal arc, and plasma arc, mig welding, stick welding, and brazing
Monitors the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts of warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materials
Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
Recognizes, set up, and operates hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc, mig, stick, and gas metal arc welding equipment
Will lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies
Follows safety rules; utilizes protective clothing and equipment
Must have an understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions
Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures
Performs other duties as required.
Skill/Knowledge:
High school diploma or GED and 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to operate a forklift to approved O.S.H.A. standards
