Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: $22 - $26 per hour, W2

Duration: 12+ Month Contract

Summary:

• The Welder will be required to carry out cladding on machined parts to a high degree of quality.
• Work on his/her own initiative to meet the production schedule of the plant.
• Ability to weld many different types of components related to Gas and Steam turbine repairs.
• This position may be required to flex between first and second shift as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Performing visual and in-process inspections in accordance with API and ISO quality specifications.
• Reading and understanding engineering drawings & specifications.
• Overlay of components using Tig & MiG per weld procedures.
• Setting up and welding components within the parameters of the specific weld procedure.
• Detailing grinding of components after weld repairs.
• Adhering to Company Safety and Environmental policies.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent diploma.
• Minimum 7 years of experience.
• Experience of using foot control Tig and MiG machines.
• Adhering to Company quality procedures.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SMAW & GMAW welding procedures.
• Experience of manual TIG.
• Advanced degree can be substituted for experience.
