What You'll Do
Perform welding on galvanized and raw steel according to blueprint specifications
Operate flame-cutting equipment as needed
Select and adjust voltage, current, heat, gas and feed settings for welding operations
Set up machines, fixtures and jigs for production runs
Perform first-piece inspections using quality control tools
Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
Move materials using forklifts, overhead cranes and other material handling equipment
Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area
Follow all quality and safety standards
What We're Looking For
Minimum of one year of production welding experience OR a two-year Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Welding
Ability to read blueprints and tape measures
Knowledge of welding equipment setup and adjustment
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Important Qualifications
To be considered, candidates must have:
At least one year of hands-on production welding experience OR
A completed two-year technical welding degree (AAS)
Please note that welding certificates, short-term welding programs or high school welding classes alone do not meet the qualifications for this position.
