Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join our team. The Welder will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and equipment using a variety of welding techniques and tools. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MIG, TIG welding on a variety of metal materials. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications. Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and compliance with company standards. Operate grinders, cutting torches, drills, and other fabrication equipment. Maintain welding equipment and ensure tools are in safe working condition. Measure, cut, and align materials accurately. Follow all workplace safety guidelines and OSHA regulations. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous welding and fabrication experience required. Certification in welding preferred (AWS or equivalent). Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately. Knowledge of welding safety procedures and equipment maintenance. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with stainless steel, Alloy 20, Hastelloy C276, aluminum, and carbon steel welding. CW or CWI certification;relevant AWS, ASME, or API credentials. Forklift or crane operation experience. Familiarity with fabrication shop equipment and processes. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Work may be performed indoors or outdoors depending on project requirements. Exposure to heat, sparks, noise, and heavy machinery. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
Licensing & Special Requirements:
Incumbent is subject to a background check.
