Key Responsibilities:
* Install, align, dismantle, and move machinery and mechanical equipment using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools
* Occasionally perform preventative and corrective maintenance on conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Diagnose mechanical problems and repair or replace defective parts
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals
Requirements:
* The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems is essential. Proficiency in reading and interpret mechanical and fabrication blueprints and technical manuals is also required.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities are crucial for diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions
* High school Diploma or GED, technical school or apprenticeship preferred, additional coursework in electrical systems is beneficial
* Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a millwright in an industrial or manufacturing environment
* Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in confined spaces when needed
Preferred:
* Familiarly with PLC-controlled equipment and basic electrical troubleshooting
* Ability to read electrical prints
* Machining, welding experience is beneficial but not required.
