Welder

Summary:

• Location: Los Angeles, CA
• Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, repair, and optimize HVAC systems and associated equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Conduct brazing, soldering, welding, pipefitting, and fabrication.
• Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and service motors, pumps, compressors, ducts, and controls.
• Ensure compliance with company safety guidelines and training requirements.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Minimum 3 years of related HVAC/Electrical maintenance and repair experience in a commercial facility.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• Availability to work day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Skills:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in airport operations.
• Understanding of Johnson Control Systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Basic proficiency with computers and common software applications.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently required to climb or balance and work in small spaces. Ladder work required.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircraft and confined areas of baggage conveyor systems.
• Specific vision abilities required include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Good hand/eye coordination is required.

Work Environment:

• Similar to airport operation with vehicular traffic.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, outside weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, cold, and vibration.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
• Work on an airport ramp around aircraft and heavy equipment.
